MIS Reports

Twenty-plus reports across stock, returns and sales analysis.

Version 1.6.0

Standard business systems ship with the reports the software vendor thought you would need. MIS Reports is the set our clients actually asked for, built over several years of “can you add one that shows…”.

Stock

Available stock grouped by supplier, so you can see your exposure to one principal at a glance rather than scrolling a flat product list. Damaged stock is broken out separately instead of being buried in the general figure, which is the difference between knowing your real position and guessing at it.

Returns

Customer returns and supplier returns, both item by item rather than summarised at transaction level. If a particular product keeps coming back, this is where you notice — usually months before anyone mentions it in a meeting.

Cheque returns get their own report, because in Sri Lankan distribution a bounced cheque is a different kind of problem from a returned carton and needs watching separately.

Sales analysis

Monthly sales against purchases, so margin drift shows up as it happens. Area sales analysis for territory performance. Supplier-wise sales analysis for principal negotiations — walking into that conversation with your own numbers changes the tone of it.

Why it exists

Most owners we work with were already producing these numbers. They were doing it by exporting to Excel every month, pasting, and rebuilding the same pivot table. That process takes two days, is out of date the moment it finishes, and breaks whenever the person who built the sheet is on leave.

These reports run on live data and take seconds. The saving is not really the two days — it is that you start looking at the numbers weekly instead of monthly, because looking is now free.

Exports

Everything exports for when you need to send figures to an accountant, a bank or a principal.

Who it is for

Owners and managers who currently rebuild the same spreadsheet every month. If you are not producing management reports at all yet, start with Business AI instead — it will tell you what to look at before you decide what to measure.

How it installs

Installed through cPanel. Reads your existing data, so reports are populated from day one with your full trading history — there is no waiting period before it becomes useful.
